Keynote Speakers
Adrian Krainer is co-inventor of nusinersen (Spinraza®), the first approved treatment for spinal muscular atrophy and a landmark antisense RNA therapy. A pioneer in RNA splicing research and therapeutic development, he is a recipient of the Wolf Prize in Medicine and the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences.
Dr. Khvorova's work helped define the field of RNA interference (RNAi) drug design and development. She has founded multiple biotechnology companies, established the Nucleic Acid Chemistry Center at UMass Chan, holds more than 150 patents, and has authored influential publications in leading journals such as Cell, Nature, and Nature Biotechnology.
